Automatic blogrolling widget

There is two site (what I know) that providing automatic blogrolling widget, link2blogs.com and criteo.com

I use link2blogs, until I found criteo. And I thinks criteo better than link2blogs.

My reason telling criterio is better than links2blog:

Criterio appearing direct url in automatic blogrolling, while link2blogs is appearing redirect url
There’s a popup on link2blogs when you click on automatic blogrolling url. while criteo there’s no a popup

Two site above providing same service; increase the blog traffic and discover the most similar blogs. Criteo have excess with the direct url on automatic blogrolling widget. So it will be more Benefit; increase the quality of the links.

This is just my opinion, if you interesting with the service above, you better check it out directly. And I just will elaborating brief clarification about two site above.

Link2Blogs is a free text link exchange that provides blogs the ability to cross-promote each other. Member blogs display a box containing text links in order to earn credits. Every reader that clicks on blogs listed in your Link2blogs box will earn you credits.

The credits you earn become new visitors for your blog. Your ad will be shown in other blogs of Link2blogs network, in the categories you chose, providing you very targeted blog readers.

Criteo AutoRoll is a blog widget that displays links to blogs that your readers should like. Based on each unique reader’s affinity for each specific blog, the Criteo Recommendation Engine will compute on a real-time basis the relative affinity of all blogs, and it automatically displays the Top 10 unique links on each blog.

We trace the number of visits of each unique reader on every blog that has installed Criteo AutoRoll. This is achieved through a cookie and requires no action from the reader.

This information is then fed to the Criteo Recommendation Engine, which computes blog affinities in real-time. The more often a reader visits a specific blog, the greater his affinity is with that blog. The exact affinity formula is kept secret to prevent any form of abuse. My Alexa rank after practicing on doshdosh.com tips

Alexa Rank is a ranking system which bases its ranking schema on the level of traffic each website receives from the number of people who visit a website with the Alexa toolbar installed.

See Alexa’s definition of the Alexa site:

The traffic rank is based on three months of aggregated historical traffic data from millions of Alexa Toolbar users and is a combined measure of page views and users (reach). As a first step, Alexa computes the reach and number of page views for all sites on the Web on a daily basis.

The main Alexa traffic rank is based on the geometric mean of these two quantities averaged over time (so that the rank of a site reflects both the number of users who visit that site as well as the number of pages on the site viewed by those users).

The three-month change is determined by comparing the site’s current rank with its rank from three months ago. For example, on July 1, the three-month change would show the difference between the rank based on traffic during the first quarter of the year and the rank based on traffic during the second quarter.

The important of increasing your Alexa rank

Webmasters, advertisers and ad networks use your blog’s Alexa rank as a gauge to determine the worth of a link on your website. If you depend on link or site selling as a form of monetization you’ll definitely want to increase your Alexa rank, because it’ll increase your bargaining power when it comes to ad pricing.

So, the Alexa rank is very important. Then I’ll try practicing on 20 Quick Ways to Increase Your Alexa Rank.

Below is the list that I have done to increasing Alexa rank :

Install the Alexa toolbar or Firefox’s SearchStatus extension and set your blog as your homepage.
Put up an Alexa rank widget on your website. I don’t care about it after I found (July, 31 2007) Take control of your Alexa ranking!.

That’s why I installed an Alexa Site Widget on my blog. I don’t know if it is a coincidence or not but I went from 4,080,035 to 1,364,067 in just a few days. If my theory is correct then every visitor to my blog downloads the Alexa site widget when they visit my blog and that is how Alexa receives data on every visitor.
Write or Blog about Alexa. It’s what I do now.
Flaunt your URL in webmaster forums. Set your website URL as your signature.
Write content that is related to webmasters.
Use Alexa redirects on your website URL. Try this: http://redirect.alexa.com/redirect?www.bisnis-net.info. Replace bisnis-net.info with the URL for your website.
Try Alexa autosurfs. Do they work? Maybe for brand new sites. Note that there be problems when you try to use auto surfs alongside contextual ads like Adsense. They aren’t also long term solutions to improving your Alexa Rank so I suggest using with caution.

Build Links with Viral Tag

This is one creative idea from bloggers. It’s basically the same as the Viralink, but with viral tag you get to choose an anchor text.

Let’s build links for free, and might be a nice way to get some backlinks even before the blog really started.

Now, let’s have a look at it.
