My parents have a 30 year old tv stand and probably a new one wouldn’t be bad for them. But for now they don’t want to hear about it, I feel a bit bad because of the discount code opportunity.
I really loaded up this stand and it is preforming admirably. I love the look and I love tv swivel mount. My only possible gripe is that I think the glass shelves are a little on the thin side. I believe I’ve overloaded them a bit with all my equipment, so I put some extra braces in there to hold them up in the center. This wouldn’t be a problem for people with a “normal” amount of electronics.

I think speaker stands are not necessary. Speaking of “not necessary”, I encourage you to shop around a bit before you buy any “home theater” system made by Bose. Their speakers are sub-par and overpriced.
