Wordpress setup after the first installation

I thought almost of Wordpress users are not using the default Wordpress settings. After the first installation their will setting up Wordpress, so the Wordpress will become more optimized.
Possible we often forget to setting up of Wordpress after the first installation. So I’ll make a list of Wordpress settings.
The following is a list of Wordpress setup that I suggest:
# Update the password
Login –> menu tab Users –> submenu tab Your Profile
After installation wordpress give password to login to your admin panel. But, if you felt familiar and can remember the password given, it’s up to you. You’ll change it or not.
# Update the nickname
Login –> menu tab Users –> submenu tab Your Profile
So it’s will expose who you are. Fill the nickname with your name, nickname, or any of kind of your favorite name.
And don’t forget to select “Display name publicly as:” your new nickname (it’s can be found under the nickname field).
# Update the About Yourself
Login –> menu tab Users –> submenu tab Your Profile
So it’s will more expose who you are. Share a little biographical information. One or two paragraph. As suggestion, you can read post “How to write your about me page“.
# Update the Tagline
Login –> menu tab Options –> submenu tab General
Default Tagline is “Just another WordPress weblog“. Update the Tagline as according to your blog topic.
# Update the Reading Options
Login –> menu tab Options –> submenu tab Reading
Show at most; default 10 post. 10 posts appeared on your blog homepage. Update it as you like. I prefer to 5 post.
# Update the Discussion Options
Login –> menu tab Options –> submenu tab Discussion
Before a comment appears; use “An administrator must always approve the comment”.
# Update the Permalinks
Login –> menu tab Options –> submenu tab Permalinks
Optimized you Wordpress permalinks so that will become search engines friendly. Use Date and name based, or use Custom permalinks. Remember, the important things is name based (postname).
I thought the list above is primary options. And as optional, I usually change the Miscellaneous Options (menu tab: Options –> Miscellaneous) from “wp-content/uploads” to “uploads“.

Great post. I remember when I was deep in debt, a secured loan really helped me but I think you have to be really strict with yourself as once those credit cards are paid off you want to go back out and spend on them. Cut them up!

You also need to bear in mind that Consolidation Loans may not always be the best option for certain individuals. If you cant afford to make repayments or if you have a bad credit history then some lenders will charge you even more on interest rates, putting you further in debt in the long run.
Taking out a consolidation loan in certain situations can be a great help, if, and only if you can control your spending and if, and only if, you get rid of all that ‘plastic’ that may have got you into debt in the first place.

We have found that the snow-ball method is a viable way to help reduce debt. Basically, you concentrate all your efforts into paying off the smallest debt first.
Then, once the smallest debt has been settled, the surplus money you now have goes against the next debt, and so on, until all your debts are paid.
